This website is my Warhammer 40,000 hobby and project site, dedicated to my "retrohammer" armies for 2nd Edition Warhammer 40k:
The lore and background of my armies are set in my own homebrew part of the far future - the Phrygian Sector of the Imperium of Man. This sector is a frontier realm located deep within the area of the galactic core known as the Maelstrom.
Please use the links above to check out my armies. My goal with this project is to eventually be able to field a 1500pt for every army that had an armylist for 2nd Edition 40k. This includes an army for each official codex book (including two for Codex Angels of Death), as well as for the Squats and Necrons (using their respective rules in the setarter set army lists and White Dwarf).
I'm also planning on collecting and building terrain from that era, as well as making use of the additional rules resources for armies and models such as the Citadel Journal and Armorcast's Inquisitor hobby fanzine.

I've been a fan of 40k since the end of Rogue Trader, with the "Red Era" of the 90s being my favorite time in the hobby. Back then, my main 40k armies were Orks and separate CSM armies of Word Bearers and Plaguemarines. I also collected and played Tyranids, Space Wolves, and my own homebrew Space Marine Chapter.
In addition to 40k, other games I played from that era include 5th Edition WHFB, Necromunda, Space Hulk, and Blood Bowl. Later on, I also became a Battlefleet Gothic fan, which remains one of my favorite games to this day.
